This project serves 700 children with a 35,000 liter underground tank for drinking water and the addition of hand washing stations. Some families with children at the school housed the project technicians as a way to contribute to the project. The pastor of the church adjacent to the school was a tremendous help. His church runs programs for the "at-risk" and orphaned children in the area, and also provides assistance to widows and women and children whose husbands/fathers are in prison. We are honored to be part of this amazing Rwandan-initiated ministry.
